HARRY “RICO” LEE ARVIE JR., a devoted husband, beloved father, and dedicated member of the oil and gas industry, passed away on December 22, 2024, in Houston, Texas. He was born on March 27, 1956, in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Rico was an outgoing and hard-working man, traits that earned him respect and admiration from his colleagues and friends. He served proudly in the U.S. Army, where he developed a strong sense of duty and camaraderie that followed him throughout his life.
A proud graduate with a high school diploma, Rico made significant strides in his career as an assistant driller in the oil and gas sector. His commitment to excellence and tireless work ethic contributed profoundly to the industry and was a testament to his character.
Rico is survived by his wife, Delphia Carr, and his mother, Mary Edwards (maiden). He is also survived by his cherished children, who carry forward his legacy of hard work and integrity.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Lee Harvie, Sr., whose memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew them both.
Rico's spirit and loving demeanor will be sorely missed by his family and all who were fortunate enough to encounter his warmth and dedication. His journey through life exemplified the values of hard work, love, and loyalty, and he leaves behind a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
